A Cookie is:
A very small text file placed on your hard drive by a Web Page server. It is essentially your identification card, and cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. It is uniquely yours and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. Session cookies are transient. They only exist while you are browsing the site that creates them. They are not stored on your hard drive, and the browser will forget about them as soon as you close it.
A Cookie's Purpose is:
To keep track of who you are while you are browsing our member area, so you can be logged in.
How a Cookie Helps You:
If you register or log in a cookie helps the application remember who you are.
Next time you return, we know to show you the information you requested. Or, when you apply for another vacancy, all you need to do is type in your user name and a password. We then fill in any questions you've already answered.
